Three men have been arrested for allegedly committing two “follow-away robberies” in the Woodland Hills area, authorities said.
Detectives arrested Isaiah Moore, 32, of Fresno, Chazon Brown, 28, of Los Angeles, and Nhazel Warren, 19, also of Los Angeles, on Friday, Oct. 24, Los Angeles police said. They were booked on suspicion of armed robbery, with bail set at $1 million each.
On Tuesday, Oct. 28, Warren posted bond and was released, the LAPD reported. Moore and Brown remained in custody, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“At the time these crimes were committed, Warren was wearing a GPS ankle monitor placed on him by the Los Angeles County Probation (agency) following his arrests in two separate, unrelated, felony cases,” the LAPD said in a statement.
One of the robberies occurred on Sept. 19 in the 23000 block of Mulholland Drive in Woodland Hills.
“The suspects followed and confronted the victim in a parking lot,” police said in a statement. “Two suspects punched the victim, which knocked him to the ground. The suspects then pinned the victim to the ground and forcibly removed his jewelry before fleeing in a black BMW sedan.”
On Oct. 23, another robbery occurred in the 21000 block of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, police said.
“The victim was followed to a local business, when a black BMW sedan drove up to him,” police said. “Two rear passengers then exited armed with handguns. The suspects stripped the victim of his jewelry and fled in the BMW.”
The investigation led detectives to identify the trio.
“Investigators believe these three individuals are … responsible for many other robberies,” police said.
