The Disneyland Railroad will soon be back on track after the grand circle tour underwent a major refurbishment in preparation for the 70th anniversary celebration of the Anaheim theme park.
The 18-minute scenic journey aboard the Disneyland Railroad will return on Friday, Oct. 25 after a three-month refurbishment, according to the Disneyland website.

Disneyland replaced a section of track, refreshed the stations along the route and gave the trains a little TLC while the 1955 opening day attraction was out of commission.
Crews used forklifts, excavators and steamrollers to remove old rails and ties in the northeast corner of the park and install new tracks during the project that started in early August.

The Main Street U.S.A. station has been covered in scrims designed to look like the building’s facade during the refurbishment.
The New Orleans Square train station will remain closed while work continues between the Tiana’s Palace restaurant and the Haunted Mansion dark ride, according to the Disneyland website.
